You can specify the input settings such as the document source, paper size, etc.

 

[Select Source]

Only [Platen] is available for the scanning source.

[Paper Size]

Only [Full Platen] is available for the scanning paper size.

[Color Mode]

Select an appropriate color mode depending on the scanning document.

[Color]

Select this when you want to scan a color photo.
The image is represented with 256 levels (8-bit) for each color, R, G, and B.

[Color (Documents)]

Select this when you want to scan a color document with not only a photo but text and table.
The document is represented with 256 levels (8-bit) for each color, R, G, and B.

[Grayscale]

Select this when you want to scan a black and white image or a grayscale image.
The image is represented with 256 levels (8-bit) between black and white.

[Black and White]

Select this when you want to scan a document in black and white.
It splits the image color into black and white at the specified threshold level and represents the image with black and white. Press [Threshold] to specify the threshold level.

Input Size

The size of the full platen is displayed if the cropping frame is not specified. The size of the cropping frame is displayed if it is specified.
You can adjust the cropping frame by dragging your mouse in the preview area.

Adjusting Cropping Frame

You can also specify a specific cropping frame size by entering values in [Width] and [Height]. You can select the unit from "pixels," "inches," and "centimeters."
You can fix or release the vertical-horizontal ratio by pressing or releasing the (fix the vertical-horizontal ratio) button, respectively.
