Canon Toner Status is software that can check on a computer how much toner is left in cartridges.

How To Use the Software
When you install the software, it is registered in Windows startup and displayed in the system tray.
Cartridge information is automatically acquired from devices at set intervals, and if the amount of toner left in a cartridge is low, the screen is displayed.
You can check the amount of toner left in the cartridges.
Clicking [Check Consumables Details] enables you to check the model numbers of cartridges. You can also display the sales site.
Clicking the icon in the system tray enables you to display the screen whenever you want.
Normally, the software starts automatically when you login to Windows. You can also start the software manually from the Start menu.
Cautions, Limitations and Restrictions
Since this product is a tool that gives rough estimates, it may display information that differs from the message on the device. For the specific status, check the operation panel of the device.
If a default browser has not been set in Windows, you cannot use [Access Purchasing Site] in the [Check Consumables Details] dialog box.
This product cannot be used in the [Start] screen of Windows 8.1 and later. Also, periodic notifications are not issued. Use this product from the desktop.
If a printer driver that supports this product is not correctly installed, the product may not correctly recognize the device. If this happens, reinstall the appropriate printer driver.
This product supports up to five device connections and up to ten print queues. It is not guaranteed to operate for devices and print queues that exceed this amount.
Information may not be acquired from devices in the standby, sleep, and hibernate modes of Windows. In such cases, execute the operation after reawakening the computer from the standby, sleep, or hibernate mode.
Depending on the state of a device, acquiring information may take time or fail. If this happens, wait a while, then click the icon in the system tray to reacquire the information.
When you are using the Canon Generic Plus printer driver, cartridge information may not be displayed if the driver cannot retrieve the device information. For details on retrieving device information, see the manual for each driver.
