Scan Mode

When scanning from the Platen Glass, select [Platen].
If you want to place standard-sized documents on the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) to scan multiple sheets of documents at a time, select the Scan Mode whose label includes the string "ADF."
If you choose [Platen], place the corner of the document on the alignment mark ().

Select Source

Select the document source to be used.

Color Mode

Depending on the scanning document, select an appropriate color mode.

[Color]

Select this when you want to scan a color photo.

[Grayscale]

Select this when you want to scan a black and white image or a grayscale image.

Paper Size

Select the documet size to be printed.

When you select the ADF (Auto Document Feeder), you can only select [A4] and [Letter].

[Scan (JPEG)]/[Scan (PDF)]

When you click [Scan (JPEG)]/[Scan (PDF)], [Save Scan Image] dialog is displayed. Specify the file name and click [Save] to start scanning with the settings specified above.

When you select the ADF (Auto Document Feeder), you can only select [Scan (PDF)].
