This section explains how to print a file directly from the terminal by specifying the print file without starting the application.
You can perform the printing with the following 3 methods:
When you enter this command, specify print options to set up the print operation.
You can also use this command as the print command even when printing from an application.
Start the Driver UI and specify print settings.
Once the Driver UI is started, you can use the cleaning function and the other maintenance functions of the printer from the [Maintenance] tab.
Use the cif command to specify print settings.
For print settings, you can specify the print options when you enter the command or you can start the Driver UI and specify the options.
This command allows you to execute Fit-to-Page Printing and Borderless Printing.
Once the Driver UI is started, you can use the cleaning function and the other maintenance functions of the printer from the [Maintenance] tab.
However, if you use this command, you must switch to other super user account using the su command.
The cif command does not display the status in the Status Monitor.
If you print a file with the cngpij command or the cif command, you can configure the printing with the Driver UI.
